Collect on the invoice you just sent, without a separate terminal workflow.
Payments in VMOTEK are processed through Stripe. Invoices can carry a secure card-or-bank payment link, and staff can collect an in-person card payment through a configured Stripe Terminal reader. Stripe Checkout may present Apple Pay or Stripe Link when the connected account, customer device, browser, currency and domain are eligible. Transactions remain connected to the invoice and work order, while sensitive card or bank-account data is handled by Stripe rather than stored in VMOTEK.

Payment links
Send an invoice by email or SMS with a secure Stripe-hosted link the customer can pay from a phone or computer.
Apple Pay and Stripe Link
Eligible customers can use accelerated Stripe Checkout methods without the shop collecting or storing wallet credentials.
In-person Terminal payments
Pair a supported Stripe Terminal reader with the shop, open an unpaid invoice and collect a card-present payment without entering card details in VMOTEK. Contactless wallets depend on the selected reader, country and Stripe configuration.
Recorded transactions
Processing, successful, failed and returned payments remain visible against the invoice with their provider reference.
Sensitive payment details stay with Stripe
Card and bank-account details are handled within Stripe's environment; VMOTEK keeps the operational status and transaction reference.
Reconciliation
Payments flow through to invoicing and, where connected, to QuickBooks Online.

Start from a real record
Begin from the relevant customer, repair, invoice or configuration in VMOTEK instead of creating disconnected payments activity.
Authorize deliberately
An authorized administrator connects Stripe, reviews the requested access and controls which business account is used.

Staff should confirm the visible status and destination before treating the connected action as complete.

If authentication, mapping or delivery fails, correct the configuration or source record and retry through the documented workflow.

How the connection is set up
- 1Connect your own Stripe account from VMOTEK settings.
- 2Choose which payment methods and currencies you accept.
- 3Confirm Apple Pay and Link eligibility in Stripe, then test the hosted Checkout on supported devices and browsers.
- 4Register the Stripe Terminal location and reader for each shop that collects in-person payments, then run a controlled card-present test.
- 5Enable US bank-account payments only after the Stripe account is eligible and ACH webhooks are validated.
- 6Enable payment links on invoice templates.
- 7Test with a small transaction before enabling for all locations.
